We Capture the Image!

Antje Dohrn is the head of the Photography section of Calypso Media.  Along with her work at the University, she has pursued photography passionately and consistently over more than 25 years.  She has exhibited her photos in different venues across Europe, and has produced photo books, calendars and postcards. Her subjects cover a wide range of interests – from classical black and white photography to portraits, street art and nature.
She has travelled to many countries across the globe and captured unique moments along her travels.  Some of Antje’s photography from her trips to Cuba and China have earned her awards.
Antje’s strength in photography is her focus on angles, perspectives and details that provide great attention and intensity in observing life in all its forms in daily situations.
Her philosophy regarding photography is based on the famous Photographers of Humanism such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Elliott Erwitt, Robert Doisneau, Helen Levitt, Eve Arnold and many more but she also explores wide ranges of new subjects and perspectives that the 21st century offers.
