"Hot Blues in Cold War" tells the fascinating story of Ebylee Davis, a black Blues musician from Alabama, the deep South of the USA who was sent to Berlin, Germany, as a soldier during the Cold War (1961-1989). 

The documentary also leads us to the Blues music scene in the former GDR (East Germany), especially in East Berlin during the 80s up to present day, showing the joys and challenges, triumphs and fights against the restrictions of a political system of dictatorship, hostile to any expression of freedom and resistance.

His complete works comprise more than 2,000 paintings, drawings, sculptures, tile paintings, and mosaics. This solitary figure from Göttingen, Germany, who never submitted to the constraints of the established German art world of the 1960s to 1980s, was a painter and artist whose work ranks among the most significant artistic achievements to emerge from the backdrop of divided Berlin.
